19C French Bronze Statue J.A Houdon (1741-1828) Diana The Huntress

This beautiful 19C patinated bronze figure is titled 'Diana Chasseresse', or 'Diana Huntress', and depicts the Roman goddess Diana, goddess of hunting The statue is an important work of French Neoclassicism by Jean-Antoine Houdon (French, 1741-1828). The sculpture signed and stamped with Berlin foundry mark on the base.

Size: 24" ( 61 cm ) height,  10 1/4" ( 26 cm ) width,  14" ( 35,5 cm ) depth.
