Fine Russian Gardner porcelain genre group depicting two peasants engaged in conversation, rendered with expressive gestures and well-modeled features. The figures stand beside a small vessel, capturing a naturalistic scene from rural life. Executed in matte polychrome enamels typical of the Verbilki factory.

Marked on the underside with red Gardner factory stamp featuring the Imperial double-headed eagle.
