Antique French Ormolu Mounted Marquetry Top Side Table, Early 20C

Elegant antique French side table, early 20th century, richly ornamented with gilt bronze / ormolu mounts in the Louis XV revival taste. Featuring a beautifully shaped square top with fine marquetry inlaid surface displaying floral and scrolling motifs in contrasting veneers, enclosed within a shaped gilt bronze frame following the contour of the top.

The serpentine apron is decorated with cast gilt bronze plaques and rocaille cartouches, raised on graceful cabriole legs mounted with matching gilt bronze ormolu appliqués and finished with bronze sabots.

A refined and highly decorative piece, ideal as a lamp table, occasional table, or sophisticated accent for both classic and modern interiors. Warm patina, attractive proportions, and excellent presence.
