Fine pair of Antique Old Master oil paintings from the North Italian School, dating to the first half of the 18th century.

The paintings depict a dramatic stag hunt and a companion hunting rest scene, executed in the Italianate sporting tradition associated with the compositions of Philips Wouwerman and other European hunting painters of the period. The compositions are richly detailed with mounted hunters, hunting dogs, classical ruins, fountains, exotic figures, and expansive pastoral landscapes.
