A rare and finely executed Imperial Russian silver-gilt kovsh by Ivan Saltykov, Moscow, late 19th century, bearing the 84-silver standard. Of elegant traditional boat form, the body is richly decorated in cloisonné and shaded enamel, centered with a vivid composition of exotic birds amid scrolling foliage, framed by intricate ornamental borders.
The interior retains its original gilding, enhancing both visual richness and depth. The underside is engraved with an interlaced monogram, alongside clear maker’s marks and Moscow assay stamps, adding historical character and authenticity.
