A finely crafted Imperial 19 century Russian silver-gilt beaker with niello decoration in the Neo-Russian / Pan-Slavic taste.
The body is decorated with niello architectural medallions depicting Russian church views, framed by scrolling niello ornament. The original gilt interior creates a striking contrast with the dark exterior decoration. A central monogrammed cartouche suggests a presentation or commemorative purpose.
A refined and highly decorative example of 19th-century Imperial Russian silver.
