Finely executed in richly colored shaded cloisonné enamel of exceptional quality, displaying subtle tonal gradations within traditional foliate motifs, the piece features a fully gilded interior and an elegantly formed handle applied with the coat of arms of St. Petersburg, emphasizing its ceremonial and official character.
