Rare and impressive large-size Imperial Russian silver gilt niello goblet.
Finely decorated with classic black niello work over gilt ground, featuring detailed figural and architectural scenes within oval reserves, surrounded by rich scrolling ornament. One side depicting Peter the Great and other Alexander Column in St.Petersburg. The stem and base are fully engraved, adding depth and presence.
Hallmarked at the rim and on the underside dated 1837, Moscow, 84 makers initials AK, assayer initials Н.Д.
