Stunning 19th-century French Patinated and Gilt Bronze Sculpture of Romantic Couple. 

The sculpture depicting Paolo and Francesca. 

The patinated figures sculpture sitting on gilded bronze double base made as a carpet.

The gilded bronze base has two parts and sits on the pins.

The patinated bronze and the base initiated on verso and the underside VP.

Also stamped with MMM on the base top.

Very fine casting, details and soft chocolate patina.

Size: 19" ( 48.3 cm ) width,  17" ( 43 cm ) height,  9 1/2" ( 24 cm ) depth. 

Condition: very good.
