A finely executed etching depicting one of Oleg Tselkov’s characteristic biomorphic figures suspended within a circular, planet-like form and surrounded by hovering insects. The dense cross-hatching, distorted anatomy, and psychologically charged imagery are characteristic of the artist’s graphic work of the 1970s.

Oleg Tselkov was one of the leading figures of Soviet unofficial art and a major representative of the Russian nonconformist movement. He settled in Paris in 1977 and continued to live and work in France until his death in 2021. His work was the subject of major exhibitions at the State Russian Museum and the State Tretyakov Gallery.

Signed in pencil lower right, dated 1976 in the plate, and numbered II–92/100 lower left.

Presented under glass in a gilt-toned frame with a wide silk mat and gilt inner liner.
