An elegant pair of French cut-crystal and gilt-bronze mounted vases dating to the 19th century and executed in the Empire style.

Each vase features a finely cut crystal body decorated with large radiating starburst motifs, diamond-cut bands, and vertical fluting. The richly detailed gilt-bronze mounts include twin swan-neck handles terminating in finely modeled classical female masks.

The decorated necks are enriched with floral, beaded, scroll, and geometric borders. Each vase rests on a chased circular pedestal above a substantial square plinth embellished with applied ribbon-tied wreaths and classical relief ornament.

The applied bronze decorations are individually secured from the underside with original period screws and nuts, characteristic of quality 19th-century construction. The combination of finely cut crystal, swan-form handles, female masks, and richly chased gilt bronze reflects the refined French Empire and Neoclassical tradition.
