Very Rare Large 18th - century Imperial Russian Gilt Silver Niello Snuff Box.
The box gilded inside and outside, engraved with courting couple and hunting scene with raised niello decoration. Very solid construction. Hallmarked on the underside and each side panel with the city mark for Veliki Ustug and assayer mark for Okonishnikov Mihail, date 1762.
Size: 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 1 3/4" ( 11 x 8,3 x 4,5 cm ). Weight 299 gm .
Condition: very good antique condition.
