Leroy & Fils prestigious Parisian maker, celebrated suppliers to European royalty and among the finest clockmakers of the 19th-century.
The clock is in the form of a classical covered urn, finely chased with delicate foliate engraving and mounted on a richly ornamented pedestal base.
The urn with twin handles in a form of methalogical mask.
The dial with Roman numerals.
Most distinctive are the sculptural reclining animal figures of panthers positioned symmetrically on either side of the base platform. Both panthers in matte and burnished gilding.
The clock stands on four ornate feet, including a prominent front and back paw - form support in Empire Revival aesthetic.
The square plinth features a finely cast oval relief medallion depicting a classical winged putto, framed withing a laurel cartouche.
Size: 16" ( 40,5 cm ) height, 15" ( 38 cm ) width, 9" ( 23 cm ) depth.

Comes with pendulum, bell and the key.
